William Carney

July 21, 1937 — October 12, 2012

William George “Bill” Carney, Jr., age 75 of Demorest and formerly of Gainesville, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012, at his residence.
Born in Hall County on July 21, 1937, he was the son of the late William George, Sr. and Lois Reidling Carney. Mr. Carney was an entrepreneur and a member of Lula Assembly of Praise. He was also an ordained minister of the Gospel.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughters, Tony Barnes and Patricia Garrish.
Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Cora & Jimmy Dean of Demorest; daughter, Connie Butts of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky & Michelle Carney of Gainesville; sisters, Esta Clara Nihill of Gainesville and Montine Free of Loganville; 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services are 3:00 pm Sunday, October 14, 2012, at the Lula Assembly of Praise with the Rev. Scotty Pool officiating.
