William Grady “Bill” Ferguson Jr, age 79, of Cornelia, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 1, 2019.
Born in Cornelia, Georgia on February 7, 1940 to the late William Grady and Hazel Etta Head Ferguson. Mr. Ferguson was a retired supervisor from Chicopee/ Ethicon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Chapella Lee Murphy Ferguson; brother, Ken Ferguson; sister, Sue Ferguson Wood.
Surviving are his daughters and son-in-law, Tammy & Steve Forrester and Tonya Ferguson Carey; brother-in-law, Kenneth Wood; uncle & aunt, Bobby & Patricia Ferguson; grandchildren and spouses, Amber & William Moore, Ashley & Zach Balest, Chloe Cantrell, Benjamin Cantrell and Sam Carey; great grandchildren, Phoebe Moore, William Moore III, and Camden Balest.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Chris York officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Anthony Shore officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Monday, December 2, 2019, at the funeral home.
