William Henry Land, Jr., age 69 of Cornelia, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014, at Habersham Medical Center.
Born in Morganton, North Carolina on February 25, 1944, he was a son of the late Elouise McConnell Land and William Henry Land, Sr. Mr. Land attended Cornelia 1st Presbyterian Church and was affectionately known by his family and friends as “Junior.” He enjoyed fishing, picking blueberries, and hunting pecans.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Delmar Eugene Land, Melvin Richard Land, and Michael Allen Land.
Surviving are brother, J. C. Land of Cornelia and aunt, Charlotte Carber of Cornelia
Memorial services are 3:00 pm Thursday, January 23, 2014, at River Point Community Church. A reception will immediately follow the service.
