WINNIE LOUISE NIX ARMOUR, age 69, of Cornelia, passed to her Heavenly Home on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, 2015, while residing at the home of her sister-in-law of Danielsville, GA.
Born on May 23, 1945, in Habersham County, she was the daughter of the late J.B. and Burnice Willene Mote Nix. Winnie was the last member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Dolly Michelle Nix; brothers, Earnest Junior Nix and David Lee Nix; and nephew, Lancer Nix.
Survivors include son, Bobby Chappell of Cornelia; niece, Kim Nix of Danielsville; sisters-in-law, Patricia Nix of Danielsville and Shirley Carson Nix of Cornelia; special cousins, Glenda Loudermilk of Mt. Airy and Terry Mote of Clarkesville; special friends, Sue Patton of Clarkesville and Dianne Holden of Cornelia. She is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Graveside services are 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the The Nix Family Cemetery, 5292 Duncan Bridge Road, Cornelia, GA 30531, with Rev. Matthew Mote officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday at the funeral home.
