Winnie Kitchens

July 11, 1918 — May 28, 2011

Winnie Bell Crump Kitchens, age 92, of Baldwin, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at her residence.

Born in Banks County, on July 11, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Nettie Lawrence Crump. Mrs. Kitchens was retired from Ethicon and a member of New Vision Worship Center. She enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kitchens was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Kitchens; daughter, Susie Murray; sons, Bill, Paul and Roger Kitchens; sister, Grace Parker; brothers, Jack and Tommy Crump; grandchildren, Penny Simmons and David Kitchens.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Polly and Theron Ayers of Baldwin; sister, Mae Crane of Florida; brothers, Junior Crump of Homer and John Crump of Commerce; 10 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services are 11:00 am Monday, May 30, 2011 at New Vision Worship Center with Pastor Johnny Barrett and Rev. Tim Beasley officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 6 – 9 pm.
